Restaurant Mimoza, located at Pile, just outside Old Town Dubrovnik and across Hilton Hotel, has reopened it’s doors and welcomes you to a newly renovated restaurant. Over 200 seating’s on our cozy terraces and 65 sittings inside enable us to also organize special dinner arrangements and events.

During summer nights our guests will relax and enjoy our specialties, accompanied by Dalmatian music.

Since 1929 Rudenjak family has been successful in restaurant business in Dubrovnik.
Today family Rudenjak owns four restaurants in the Old Town: Ragusa 2, Lora, Antunini and Piccolo Mondo. Each restaurant is decorated with extreme care and sense in respect to the tradition of Dubrovnik.

Croatian cuisine

Croatian cuisine is quite specific and varied. In the northern part, the food is very simillar to polish cuisine. On the coast in view of hot weather people eat very light food, a lot of fish and seafood. The most popular meat, especially on the coast, is lamb. In the northern parts they very often eat piglets.

What is interesting, you won’t find restaurants like McDonald’s anywhere in Croatia, even in bigger cities. Croatian people are proud of their own specialities and even hamburgers serve in their own way, although, some people say that nothing of croatian cuisine is really croatian. It’s true the food might have been taken from turkish people, however, it doesn’t seem to matter at all when it comes to try those tasty dishes.

On a whole you will never be deceived by Croatian restaurants. They will range from medium to good but, unless you have a good tip, you will seldom find a great variety of dishes, at least on coastal towns.

All restaurants will serve salads, grilled meat (very good and tasty) : raznici, cevapcici, plejskavica, etc… But you will be very lucky if you find “punjene paprika” (stuffed pepper), “sarma” (stuffed cabbage) or even “musaka”,
Sea food is usually very good and fresh but you also need to know that fish and shellfish are expensive. Squid (lignje) are not too expensive and you will not be disappointed with grilled squid.
If you see a porklet roasting on a skewer, you should stop and taste. It’s one of the tastiest meal you will encounter !
Don’t miss the ham (prsut), its is excellent, in Dalmacia as well as in Istria.
